<p>Two of my favorite tracks are the Boston/Black Eyed Peas mix and the Kings of Leon/4 Tops mix. If I were a Spin instructor, I would definitely insert the Boston/BEP song somewhere into the spinning playlist to give the workout that extra &#8220;ooomph&#8221;</p>

<p>I feel like one of the most under rated exercises a person can do is the push up. This exercise stimulates your core and builds functional upper body strength. Unfortunately, according to the website <a href="http://www.hundredpushups.com" target="_blank">hundredpushups.com</a>, the majority of people can&#8217;t do more than ten. The website is out to change that with a 6-week program designed to enable a person to do 100 consecutive push ups. The push up workout program goes three days a week for 6 weeks. The program starts with an initial push-up test to determine how the program will be tailored to your ability. If you are a little advanced in your push up skills, you can skip some of the earlier workouts to start at a more suitable level. The progression of push-ups increases each week by increasing the number of sets/reps. By the end of week 6, you do a final fit test to see if you can reach one hundred push ups.</p>
<p>I think I&#8217;m going to give this program a try next week when  I get back from California and see how it stacks up. Anyone else curious to see if they can do 100 push-ups?</p>

Its usually remix of more popular songs with some of the year&#8217;s favorite Indie hits. The recent album was recently released (for FREE!) and the highlight for me has to be the mix of U2&#8242;s &#8220;With or Without You&#8221; with the ubiquitous &#8220;Love Story&#8221; by Taylor Swift. I thought the two individual songs were alright but somehow, the combination of the two really really fit. This won&#8217;t be the song that carries you to a 5K PR but might be suitable for your yoga, pilates or cool down playlists. Check out the song below along with the rest of the album you can stream.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When the clock strikes midnight tonight and officially ushers in 2010, the countdown will set in that I&#8217;m going to do an Ironman in Arizona on November 21, 2010.  I&#8217;ll have less than a year to get ready to accomplish the greatest physical effort my body has been put through.</p>
<p>2.4 mile swim/112 mile bike/26.2 mile run</p>
<p>The journey started with doing my first sprint triathlon last year in Sea Isle. I did a couple more sprint triathlons this year and officially became addicted to multi-sport training and competition. The idea of doing an Ironman came about after following a buddy from high school (Shawn Bradley) and my company&#8217;s CFO, Mark Partin train for Ironman Florida. I became intrigued with the discipline and determination it took to tackle such a mind blowing challenge. Despite never doing more than a sprint triathlon distance, I wanted to make it a goal to be able to finish an Ironman in 2010. That goal became a reality when I was able to register for Arizona 2010 on November 23. Amazingly it only took twenty minutes before all slots were SOLD OUT.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve planned out what I&#8217;ll need to do to go from a beginner to being able to finish an Ironman. I&#8217;ll provide the updates on this blog to share the experience and challenges up until November 21, 2010 when I hear:</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I went to the physical therapist yesterday and we went over the initial review of the injury and get a baseline for what the rehab program would look like. I talked about my current training and goal to do an Ironman in 2010 and was then referred to a a person that specializes in sports medicine. I was hoping to go this route because my rehab goals were to get my body to compete again, not just be able to walk or go for an occasional run.</p>
<p>I received a worksheet with six exercises to do until I start with my new physical therapist. I have to do this twice a day with the first session this morning. The exercises aren&#8217;t that difficult but the last two requiring balancing on one leg was more challenging. Its actually a good thing because it reveals one of my deficiencies and gives me another area to strengthen in the off season. A few yoga sessions a month should help.</p>
